Iranian-Backed Militia Plotting More Attacks on US Forces in the Middle East
US officials have intelligence that Iranian-backed militia groups are planning increased attacks against US forces in the Middle East.
This comes as Iran looks to take advantage of the regional backlash to US support for Israel.
The militias have already launched drone attacks and there are concerns they may escalate further amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.
While Iran is not explicitly directing the groups, it is providing guidance and telling them they won't face punishment for targeting US or Israeli targets.
