Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse: At least 40 people feared trapped | Rescue ops underway | Oneindia News
A portion of an under-construction tunnel between Silkyara and Dandalgaon on the Brahmakal-Yamunotri National Highway collapsed early on Sunday, trapping around 40 workers inside.
In a race against time, rescue and relief operations have been launched on a war footing in the Silkyara Tunnel.
Civilians all across India participated in the mock drills initiated by the Home Ministry to test Indiaâs war preparedness and ready people to fight against any potential threat as tensions remain high between India and Pakistan.
