Piers Morgan denies hacking after Harry's court victory

Piers Morgan has denied any involvement in phone hacking as he accused Prince Harry of being on a mission to destroy the British monarchy.

The High Court ruled that Mr Morgan knew about and was involved in phone hacking when he was editor of the Daily Mirror as the Duke of Sussex won damages of £140,600 against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN).

Speaking outside his London home, Mr Morgan said "I had then and still have zero knowledge of how that particular story was gathered." “I also want to reiterate, as I’ve consistently said for many years now, I’ve never hacked a phone or told anyone else to and nobody has provided any actual evidence to prove that I did,” he added.

Obesity jabs found to cut risk of heart attack and strokes

Jabs designed to combat obesity might lower the likelihood of heart attacks, strokes, or heart failure among obese individuals, irrespective of the extent of weight loss experienced during the medication regimen. This indicates the potential for the treatment to yield benefits beyond mere reduction of excess body fat. Professor John Deanfield, who led the study, said the findings “have important clinical implications”. Report by Covellm. Court of Appeal refuses to change sentence of Calocane

The Court of Appeal has refused to change the sentence of Valdo Calocane, who killed three people in Nottingham last summer. Giving their judgment, the Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr said: “There was no error in the approach adopted by the judge. “The sentences imposed were not arguably unduly lenient.” She concluded: “It is impossible to read of the circumstances of this offending without the greatest possible sympathy for the victims of these terrible attacks, and their family and friends."
