Described as a “demonstrative kinetic action,” the operation was orchestrated by individuals linked to China’s embassy in Prague. Military intelligence says the attempt never advanced past the planning stage — but a Chinese agent’s reckless move, running a red light while tailing Hsiao’s convoy, sparked the investigation.
Taiwan’s Presidential Office has condemned the plot, while Czech officials quietly raised concerns with Beijing.
