Horrifying moment plane bursts into flames on Tokyo runway

Five people have died after a passenger plane collided with an aircraft on a runway in Tokyo.

Footage shows a large eruption of fire and smoke from the side of the plane as it landed on a Haneda airport runway.

Security footage captured the exact moment the collision happened.

The Japan Airlines Flight 516 had departed from New Chitose airport at 16:00 local time and was scheduled to land at Haneda at 17:40 when it collided with a coast guard aircraft killing five of the six crew onboard.
