Czech court rules Indian accused Nikhil Gupta in Pannun case can be extradited to U.S | Oneindia
A Czech appeals court has given the green light for the extradition of 52-year-old Indian man, Nikhil Gupta, to the United States.
Gupta stands accused by US federal prosecutors of collaborating with an Indian government official in a failed plot to assassinate Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, residing in New York.
The threat comes days after Kapil Sharma's newly-inaugurated restaurant in Canada, Kap's Cafe, came under gunfire by unknown men. Later, Harjit Singh Laddi and.. DNA
Comedian Kapil Sharma’s café in Surrey, Canada, was attacked by Khalistani terrorists on July 9. At least nine shots were fired at the café in a shocking nighttime drive-by assault. No injuries were reported. Babbar Khalsa-linked terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi claimed responsibility, citing an old remark by Sharma. Laddi, wanted by the NIA for multiple killings, including a VHP leader, remains at large. The attack has reignited concerns over Khalistani extremists operating from Canadian soil with growing impunity.

The United States witnessed a powerful wave of resistance as the ‘Good Trouble Lives On’ protests swept through over 1,600 locations nationwide. Named in honor of late civil rights icon John Lewis, the movement calls for citizens to rise against injustice, authoritarianism, and policies they deem harmful to democracy. In Manhattan, New York City, demonstrators blocked intersections outside the ICE building at Federal Plaza in a dramatic sit-in. Major cities including Atlanta, Oakland, St. Louis, and Annapolis saw thousands rallying against Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, healthcare cuts, and broader policies.
The protests come in the wake of recent unrest in Los Angeles, where National Guard troops were deployed amid clashes. Organizers say the protests aim to honor John Lewis' legacy and challenge rising threats to civil liberties. Protesters carried signs reading “No Kings,” a symbolic cry against authoritarianism and government overreach. This marks one of the largest mass protests in recent years.
