The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) swiftly claimed responsibility for the strike. In a public statement, the IDF claimed it had successfully targeted and eliminated a militant affiliated with Iran’s Quds Force. According to Israeli military sources, the individual killed was deeply involved in smuggling weapons into the region and was actively planning terror attacks against both Israeli civilians and military forces.
