Farooq Abdullah to go solo in Jammu and Kashmir, hints at joining NDA in future | Oneindia

In a significant blow to the Opposition INDIA bloc, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah announced on Thursday that his party would independently contest all seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

While indicating a potential future re-entry into the BJP-led NDA, Abdullah dismissed the possibility of forming alliances with other opposition parties.

The National Conference's decision to go solo in the polls follows similar moves by Mamata Banerjee's TMC and Arvind Kejriwal's AAP, underscoring a growing internal divide within the coalition of 28 parties led by the INDIA bloc.

Abdullah emphasised the party's firm stance on contesting elections based on its own merits, leaving no room for ambiguity.
