'John Wick' Spinoff 'Ballerina' Reportedly Delayed to 2025 to Film More Action Scenes | THR News Video
The 'John Wick' spinoff starring Ana De Armas is being hit with a big delay.
The new action film titled 'Ballerina' will no longer bow in 2024 and is now opening June 6, 2025.
The year-long delay for Ballerina is sure to turn heads, but Lionsgate insiders say it is because the film will be filming additional action sequences.
A television adaptation of Park Chan-wook's 2003 film 'Oldboy' is in the works. The Korean filmmaker is partnering with Lionsgate Television to develop the series, which would be an English-language adaptation of the story. Park said, "Lionsgate Television shares my creative vision for bringing 'Oldboy' into the world of television. I look forward to working with a studio whose brand stands for bold, original and risk-taking storytelling."
