05 Flap Handle Detent Pin

Welcome back viewers!

In this episode I am working on putting together & installing the flap handle in the fuselage.

I run across a few setbacks during the assembly but in the end I overcome all of them & get the job done albeit with a few less drill bits.

I broke a bit off inside the detent pin, tried some super-cooling overnight in the deep freeze to pop it out in the morning but that didn’t work.

I try to drill out the existing bit with another, that didn’t work.

Then I drilled perpendicular to it & through the lodged bit… that didn’t work either.

I ended up having to use the cheapest replacement bit I purchased that morning to drill yet another hole through the detent pin which was successful.

Got’r done in the end.
