Fusion Industry Leaders , Hold DC Conference , Looking for Investors.
Fox News reports that leaders in the West's
emerging nuclear fusion industry are
convening this week to attract additional
funding to build commercially-viable reactors.
.
The high-level conference takes
place as the industry races to
develop the technology ahead of China.
.
Earlier this month, the Biden administration
signed a funding bill that contained
$790 million for fusion science programs in 2024.

Earlier this month, the Biden administration
signed a funding bill that contained
$790 million for fusion science programs in 2024.
.
Unlike current nuclear fission plants,
commercial fusion plants would not produce
any long-lasting radioactive waste.
According to Andrew Holland, CEO of Fusion Industry
Association (FIA), the industry is concerned that fusion
will follow the same pattern as the solar industry.
Much of the technology used in the solar industry was invented in the United States, but manufacturing was primarily handled in China.
It is very clear that China
has ambitions to do the same
sort of thing, both in the supply
chain and the developers.
It's time for the U.S. to
respond to that challenge, Andrew Holland, CEO of Fusion Industry
Association (FIA), via Fox News.
According to an FIA report from last July, private
companies around the world have invested
over $6 billion in fusion technology through 2022.
.
Fox News reports that the third annual FIA
conference is expected to attract an estimated
350 attendees from around the world.
Last year, the industry gained momentum
after scientists at California's Lawrence Livermore
Laboratory reported a breakthrough, bringing the
technology one step closer to commercial viability.

President Donald Trump has nominated State Department spokesperson and longtime Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce as the next U.S. deputy representative to the United Nations. Bruce, a fierce defender of Trump’s “America First” policies, has served as State Department spokesperson since his inauguration in January. Known for defending the administration’s tough stances on immigration, Russia’s war in Ukraine, and Israel’s Gaza offensive, Bruce is expected to bring combative rhetoric to the UN stage.
Her appointment will require Senate confirmation, where Republicans hold a majority. Trump praised her “fantastic job” at State, while Bruce called the role an honor and vowed to continue advancing U.S. priorities abroad. She will serve under Mike Waltz, Trump’s pick for UN envoy, whose confirmation is pending. The move signals Trump’s push for loyalist voices in high-profile diplomatic posts at a time of intense geopolitical tensions.

In a scathing rebuke, top Trump aide Stephen Miller has accused India of "financing Russia’s war in Ukraine" by continuing to import oil from Moscow. Speaking on Fox News, Miller expressed alarm over India’s near-parity with China in buying Russian crude — calling it an “astonishing fact.” This comes after President Trump, escalating economic pressure, imposed a 25% tariff on Indian goods and warned of a potential 100% tariff on imports from countries dealing with Russia.
Indian officials, however, remain firm on maintaining ties with Moscow for oil purchases. The Indian Embassy in Washington has not responded, but sources told Reuters that New Delhi will not bow to threats. Miller noted Trump's "tremendous" relationship with PM Modi, but the strong rhetoric signals a shift. The stakes are high, and tensions are brewing as Trump's foreign policy sharpens its focus on global alignments.

In a stunning move, President Trump has revoked Kamala Harris’ extended Secret Service protection, stripping away security granted by President Biden after her vice presidency. Harris, the first woman and person of color to serve as Vice President, was set to receive an extra year of coverage due to heightened threats. Effective September 1, her protective agents, property surveillance, and federal threat intelligence will end—just weeks before her national book tour.
