The Queen opens a new Coronation Library at a primary school
The Queen has visited a primary school in Islington where she opened a new Coronation Library - a day after the first anniversary of the King's historic crowning at Westminster Abbey.
During the visit, Her Majesty met with teachers and pupils and watched the school choir perform.

Renowned architect Lord Foster will design a national memorial to Queen Elizabeth II, transforming St James’s Park with gardens and a bridge inspired by her wedding tiara. The project includes Commonwealth and UK gardens, two ceremonial gates, and a lightweight bridge symbolising unity with Prince Philip.
