LS Election Result 2024: BJP Fails To Cross Majority Mark| Will Allies Support BJP? | Walk Through
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on course to lose its national majority after suffering major losses in key states, marking a dramatic shift in a political landscape it has dominated for the past decade.
The BJP is on track to comfortably emerge as the country’s single-largest party in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s parliament.
But as election officials declared leads and results from India’s six-week-long election on Tuesday, it became apparent that the BJP would struggle to repeat its performances from 2014 and 2019.
As the 2024 Assembly elections in Jharkhand and Maharashtra draw near, both states are seeing intensified political campaigns. In Jharkhand, the AJSU Party promises significant financial aid to impoverished families and skill development for youth, while the Congress-JMM alliance focuses on infrastructure and rural development. The BJP has launched an aggressive counter-campaign accusing the ruling coalition of mismanagement. Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi’s rallies focus on the BJP’s "double-engine government" strategy, with promises of socio-economic reforms, while the opposition MVA alliance targets governance issues.

A new intranasal vaccine developed by researchers at the Wuhan lab has recently been unveiled, promising a novel approach to combating infectious diseases. However, this breakthrough has also sparked significant controversy and concern. While the vaccine’s potential to offer a more accessible and efficient method of vaccination is hailed as a major advancement, its origins and the circumstances surrounding its development are raising alarms about a possible new health crisis. Critics worry that the technology used in this vaccine could inadvertently lead to another pandemic-like scenario if not carefully monitored. As the world cautiously watches, the vaccine's rollout is stirring a heated debate about safety, preparedness, and the ethical implications of such advanced biological research.
