James Cracknell condemns party members' election day bets
James Cracknell, the Conservative candidate for Colchester, criticised party members for betting on election day in an interview with ITV News.
He said, "When I knock on people's doors and they ask about members of my party placing bets, Iām not going to say, 'I agree with it.'
People are trusting me with their one vote." Cracknell emphasised the need for voters to trust him completely, underlining the challenge of maintaining that trust amid controversies within the party.
