Southport residents left devastated by knife attack
Officers from Merseyside fire and rescue service were amongst residents in Southport laying floral tributes following the knife attack on Monday which killed three children.
A 17-year-old boy, born in Cardiff, is being held on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following the attack in Hart Street, Southport, on Monday, 29 July.

There was no evidence of "two-tier policing" in the police's handling of riots that erupted after last year's Southport murders, a new report by MPs has found. The report by the Home Affairs Committee, published on Monday, examined the police response to disorder that broke out following the stabbings in July last year. A 60-year-old woman appeared at Leicester Magistratesâ Court on Friday after being charged as part of an investigation into the alleged stalking of Madeleine McCannâs family.
