Alec Baldwin at the Turin Film Festival: Americans "Know Little or Nothing About the World" | THR News Video
Alec Baldwin had some strong opinions about American media during an appearance at the Turin Film Festival.
Baldwin was present at the festival where he was the guest of honor as the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award.
During the press conference Baldwin got a little critical about Americans and media at one point saying, "You know what's going on from the news, but information in America is driven by money.
It's a business.
That's why there's a void in information on the biggest issues in the world.
Americans know little or nothing — on climate change, on Ukraine.
That void is filled in part by the film industry, by documentaries and narrative films."
'Rust' writer-director Joel Souza has complicated thoughts on his creation, and he says he has "no relationship" with the film's star Alec Baldwin. After several years and an enormous tragedy, 'Rust' will finally be released. Back in 2021, the movie's cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died after she was accidentally shot on set by Baldwin. After much debate, Souza and the cast and crew returned to finish the film. But, quite naturally, Souza says he wishes he never made the film in the first place.

Ukraine and Russia complete second prisoner swap agreed during Istanbul talks
The exchange began on Monday for soldiers aged between 18-25, focusing on seriously wounded and sick Ukrainian service members, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Telegram.

Russia has confirmed that it carried out a massive high-precision strike on military-industrial targets in Ukraine’s capital, Kiev. The Defense Ministry said it hit missile, aircraft, tank, and shipbuilding facilities using missiles and drones. Additional targets included command centers and ammo depots. Ukraine claims 315 drones and seven missiles were involved. President Zelensky labeled it one of the largest strikes on Kiev, blaming the U.S. for inaction. Civilian injuries and infrastructure damage were also reported amid growing tensions and retaliatory attacks between both nations.
