Double Disaster in Brazil: 38 Killed in Bus Crash, Plane Carrying 10 Crashes Into Shops | VIDEO

A devastating series of tragedies struck Brazil on Saturday and Sunday, claiming numerous lives.

On Saturday, a passenger bus in the state of Minas Gerais collided with a truck, killing 38 people and leaving 13 others injured.

The bus, which was traveling from SĂŁo Paulo, lost control after blowing a tire and burst into flames upon impact.

Brazilian President Lula da Silva expressed condolences, vowing full support to the victims' families.

Just a day later, a small plane carrying 10 passengers crashed into shops in the popular tourist city of Gramado, in southern Brazil.

All 10 people aboard the plane were confirmed dead.

The crash triggered a massive fire, sending at least 15 people to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

The plane struck a chimney, a second-floor building, and then a furniture store before debris scattered across the area, also hitting a nearby inn.

Authorities have vowed to investigate both incidents thoroughly as the country mourns this twin tragedy.

Lula BLASTS Trump, Rejects “Humiliation” Of Tariff Talks As U.S Slaps 50% Duties On Brazil Goods

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has drawn a firm line in the sand after the United States imposed hefty 50% tariffs on Brazilian exports. In a striking interview with Reuters, Lula declared he won’t initiate talks with President Trump that might “humiliate” his nation—saying he’ll only engage if he senses genuine willingness to negotiate. Brazil isn't retaliating with reciprocal tariffs but is pursuing WTO consultations and prepping domestic support for affected industries. Lula also unveils plans to mobilize BRICS partners like India and China for a coordinated response. Firmly asserting Brazil’s economic sovereignty, he criticized Trump’s interference in a sovereign country’s legal affairs, particularly related to the prosecution of former president Jair Bolsonaro. Emphasizing mutual respect in diplomacy, Lula called for dignified engagement-pointing to Trump’s public humiliations of other world leaders as unacceptable conduct. He’s offering negotiation-but on his terms only. #Lula #Trump #Brazil #TradeWar #Tariffs #WTO #BRICS #USBrazilRelations #Sovereignty #Diplomacy #NoHumiliation #50PercentTariff #ReutersInterview #EconomicSovereignty #TradeDiplomacy #GlobalTrade #LatinAmerica #StrategicMinerals #RespectInDiplomacy #TradeCrisis ~HT.318~ED.346~

Lula Accuses U.S Of Staging ‘Brazil Coup’ | SLAMS Trump’s 50% Tariff Threat As Economic Blackmail [Video]

Lula Accuses U.S Of Staging ‘Brazil Coup’ | SLAMS Trump’s 50% Tariff Threat As Economic Blackmail

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has delivered a fiery rebuke to the United States, accusing Washington of aiding a coup in Brazil and using economic threats as political weapons. Speaking at a Workers’ Party event in Brasília, Lula condemned the 50% tariff threat from President Donald Trump as “economic blackmail,” and vowed that Brazil would not bow to “unequal treatment.” Without specifying the incident, Lula recalled a past U.S.-backed coup, possibly referring to 1964 or the 2016 impeachment of Dilma Rousseff. The warning comes as tensions escalate over BRICS’ growing influence and its call to reduce dollar dependence. Lula emphasized that Brazil, no longer reliant on the U.S., is ready to negotiate but only as equals. The 50% tariff would be the highest imposed on any country, signaling a major rift in U.S.-Brazil relations. Lula’s defiance now sets the stage for a global showdown over sovereignty and trade. #Lula #Brazil #Trump #Tariffs #USBrazilRelations #CoupClaims #EconomicBlackmail #BRICS #DollarDominance #TradeWar #Bolsonaro #Sovereignty #Sanctions #AlexandreDeMoraes #Geopolitics #Multilateralism #TradeCrisis #GlobalSouth #BrazilPolitics #USImperialism ~HT.408~

MASSIVE Anti-Trump Protests ERUPT In Brazil As USP Students Decry Tariffs, Demand Respect For Brazil [Video]

MASSIVE Anti-Trump Protests ERUPT In Brazil As USP Students Decry Tariffs, Demand Respect For Brazil

Anti-Trump Protests: A firestorm of protest has erupted at Brazil’s University of São Paulo as students, civil society groups, lawyers, and social leaders rally to defend Brazilian sovereignty against a fresh round of punitive U.S. tariffs. The protest, led by legal scholars like Celso Campilongo and Ana Elisa Bechara, targeted Donald Trump’s aggressive decision to impose a 50% tariff on Brazilian goods starting August 1 — a move widely seen as a political message to support his ally, Jair Bolsonaro. Protesters gathered under banners proclaiming “Long Live Brazilian Sovereignty,” calling the move a direct attack on Brazil’s democracy and independence. Tensions are soaring as Washington brushes aside a longstanding trade surplus and centuries-old ties. The U.S. claims of judicial persecution against Bolsonaro have only fueled Brazil's outrage. The message from São Paulo is clear: Brazil refuses to be intimidated. The world is watching as the sovereignty battle unfolds. #Trump #BrazilTariffs #BrazilProtests #UniversityOfSaoPaulo #USBrazilTensions #Bolsonaro #BrazilSovereignty #TariffWar #TrumpSanctions #CivilResistance #LatinAmericaNews #BreakingNews #InternationalRelations #DemocracyUnderAttack #TradeWar #USPProtests #GlobalPolitics #AntiTrump #SouthAmerica #AntiTrump ~HT.410~ED.346~GR.124~
