US President Donald Trump has pledged to remain engaged in the Ukraine peace process, according to Estonian President Alar Karis. During a conversation at Pope Francis' funeral, Trump told Karis that a deal between Kyiv and Moscow was "quite close." Trump also met with Ukrainian President Zelensky shortly before the funeral.
