In a historic and high-stakes election, centrist and pro-EU candidate NicuČor Dan has defeated ultranationalist rival George Simion to become the next President of Romania. NicuÅor Dan won Romaniaās presidency with 54% of the vote, defeating ultranationalist rival George Simion in a runoff that followed the annulment of last yearās results over foreign interference concerns.
