Iran’s top security chief, Ali Larijani, has declared that meaningful talks with the West are only possible if Washington and Europe drop their threats of war. In a fiery interview, Larijani said Iran remains committed to diplomacy, but warned that intimidation, sanctions, and military strikes cannot force Tehran into submission. He slammed recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iranian sites as violations of international law and accused Europe of acting as Washington’s p@wn by reviving the “snapback” sanctions mechanism. Larijani did not rule out Iran’s possible exit from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), saying the pact has “brought us no benefit.” He made clear that strength — not empty promises — is what secures progress for Iran. His remarks underline Tehran’s hardened stance: real negotiations can only begin when the West accepts that war and pressure are doomed to fail.
