The Bluebird hydroplane returns to the site of Donald Campbell's first successful water speed record attempt to mark its 70th anniversary. Donald Campbell's daughter Gina Campbell described the return of the hydroplane as "humbling".

Essex Police has denied claims it "bussed" counter-protesters to a demonstration outside a hotel housing asylum seekers last week. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Chief Constablel of Essex, Ben-Julian Harrington said: "What has been unacceptable has been the people who have come to Epping and committed violence."

Sir James Cleverly has returned to the Conservative frontbench as Kemi Badenoch announced changes to her shadow cabinet. Addressing the reshuffle during a visit to a housing site, Ms Badenoch said Mr Cleverly is "a very experienced member of the parliamentary party" who agrees with her position on the ECHR. The Minister for Legal Migration has admitted she is "concerned" about rising tensions in communities amid ongoing protests. It comes as eight police officers were injured following a demonstration in Epping last Thursday. Seema Malhotra said the government plans on investing "billions" as part of the plan for change to bring investment to "the most deprived parts of our country".
