Discount of up to £3,750 on electric cars to slash costs

Drivers across the UK will soon enjoy discounts on dozens of new electric car models after the government announced a £650 million grant scheme worth up to £3,750 per car, as part of the Plan for Change and making owning an electric car a reality for thousands.

Roads Minister Lilian Greenwood said: "You can save up to £1500 a year if you switch to electric.

If you can charge at home overnight, you can be paying as little as 2p per mile to drive an electric car." Report by Gluszczykm.
