KISS, Gloria Gaynor, George Strait, Michael Crawford and Sylvester Stallone announced as New Kennedy Center Honorees by President Trump.
Country music icon, George Strait; legendary rock band KISS, consisting of founding members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley; Tony Award-winning stage star, Michael Crawford; Grammy-winning singer behind mega hit "I Will Survive," Gloria Gaynor; and Oscar-nominated actor known for his roles as Rocky and Rambo, Sylvester Stallone will be the latest recipients of the prestigious achievement recognizing individuals for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts.
President Trump made the announcement at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Yesterday and also divulged that he will serve as host for the ceremony, which is scheduled for December.
This will mark the first time a president has hosted the ceremonious event.
