Israelâs Defense Minister Israel Katz has approved Operation Gideonâs Chariots II, a major IDF plan to capture Gaza City. Backed by Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the operation will call up 60,000 reservists to reinforce troops already deployed. Civilians will be evacuated south before the offensive, aimed at isolating Hamas. Families of hostages expressed concern over risks, while Egyptâs ceasefire proposal was rejected for excluding all hostages. Katz declared Israel is at a decisive stage and vowed no hostage will be left behind.
