Returning Officer Stewart Christie confirmed the London Assembly member received 20,411 votes in a national ballot, beating off a rival joint bid by Green MPs Ellie Chowns and Adrian Ramsay – who secured 3,705 votes. A bus mounted the pavement on Victoria Street, central London, at around 8.20am on Thursday, injuring 17 people. Two were treated at the scene, while 15, including the bus driver, were taken to hospital. A witness described the scene, saying: "There was a lot of people...
