Starmer warns of ā€˜horrifying famine’ unfolding in Gaza

Sir Keir Starmer says the situation in Gaza is "horrifying" and warns of a potential man-made famine. Responding to a question from Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey during today’s Prime Minister’s Questions, the PM also told MPs he is working on a peace plan with international partners to secure the release of hostages and said Sir Ed Davey could have raised the issue himself at the upcoming state banquet with President Trump, had he not declined the invitation. On Cam: Houthi Drones, Missiles Slam Tel Aviv |IDF Headquarter, Ben Gurion Airport & Power Plant Hit

Yemen’s Houthis have launched a bold new assault on Israel, claiming strikes on Tel Aviv’s IDF headquarters, Ben Gurion Airport, Hadera Power Plant, and Ashdod Port using upgraded Yafa drones and missiles. Officials report that Israel’s Iron Dome and Arrow defense systems failed to intercept the attacks, leaving the country caught off guard. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree warned that more deadly strikes will follow unless Israel halts operations in Gaza and Lebanon. In a related escalation, Houthi forces also targeted the Liberian-flagged cargo ship MSC Aby in the Red Sea using drones and a Soumar-type cruise missile, reportedly causing significant damage. If verified, these attacks further threaten vital shipping lanes already disrupted by over 100 Houthi maritime strikes since 2023, raising the stakes for regional security and international trade. #Houthis #Israel #TelAviv #IDF #BenGurionAirport #AshdodPort #HaderaPowerPlant #YafaDrones #HouthiMissiles #RedSeaAttack #IsraelUnderAttack #MiddleEastConflict #BreakingNews #HouthisVsIsrael #RegionalCrisis #MaritimeSecurity ~HT.178~PR.274~ED.346~GR.124~

He warned children are more sensitive to these effects, which can cause poor focus, anxiety, trouble sleeping, or worsen heart problems. The government has announced plans to ban sales to under-16s and launched a 12-week consultation. Report by Covellm.
