'India considers wheat imports from Russia at discount to calm prices'

India is in discussions with Russia to import wheat at a discount in an effort to curb food inflation ahead of elections next year, according to insiders. Four sources have revealed that India is considering imports from Russia to meet rising prices of goods, including cereals and pulse, as well as an extension of rural schemes.
