AGI Japan to invest up to Rs 200 crore in Hyderabad based Standard Glass for minority stake
Thursday, 16 November 2023 Japanese company Asahi Glassplant Inc (AGI Japan) is investing up to Rs 200 crores in Hyderabad-based Standard Glass Lining Technology Limited. AGI Japan, along with GL HAKKO and its affiliates, will secure a minority stake in Standard Glass. AGI Japan is also considering further investments in businesses associated with the Standard Group. The partnership will facilitate Standard Glass's entry into the Japanese market through private label arrangements and co-branding initiatives. AGI Japan CEO Yasuyuki Ikeda has been serving as a non-executive director at Standard Glass since March 2023.
