Xiaomi disputes Huawei executive's claim of patent infringement regarding Xiaomi's "dragon bone" hinge technology, stating that it was developed independently. Xiaomi urges Yu Chengdong to adhere to scientific standards and stop unfairly criticizing competitors. The patent referenced by Yu was not made public until June 2021, months after Xiaomi had already made public statements about its "dragon bone" technology. Huawei has not yet responded to the dispute. The two companies have previously clashed over smartphone camera specifications.
