Now, Elon Musk-led Tesla’s rival VinFast wants India to reduce import duties on its electric cars

Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast has requested a temporary reduction in import duties on its cars in India for two years. The company is building a manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu and aims to cater to the domestic market before expanding exports. VinFast has proposed a decrease in India's 100% import duty on fully-built electric vehicles.
