India may seek parity on tech access in trade pact with US

India is expected to request the US to relax export restrictions and provide access to vital technologies, similar to the treatment given to allies like Australia, the UK, and Japan, as part of the proposed bilateral trade agreement. India will also seek duty concessions for labor-intensive sectors, while the US aims for similar concessions in sectors like automobiles and agriculture.
