Desai's last rites to take place on Friday

Art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai was found dead at his studio in Maharashtra's Raigad district. The bankruptcy court had recently admitted an insolvency petition against his company, which he owed a Rs 252-crore loan to. The reasons leading him to suicide are unknown. Desai was famous for his work on Lagaan and Devdas. His studio was located on the outskirts of Mumbai, and he owned a company called ND's Art World, providing services like hotel, shopping malls, and recreation centres. Desai's work as an art director was highly acclaimed by the film industry.
