Shakti reveals how wife sacrificed her acting career

Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor credits his wife, Shivangi Kolhapure, for bringing prosperity to his life, revealing on the Timeout with Ankit podcast that she quit acting to be a housewife at his behest. The duo met when Shivangi, a child artist and younger sister of star Padmini Kolhapure, was 12 years his junior. Despite initial familial opposition due to Shakti's on-screen villain roles and cultural differences, they married in 1982 and have two actor children, Siddhant and Shraddha Kapoor.
