During the pandemic, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, despite ending their romantic relationship, found being confined together surprisingly manageable. Rao revealed that the pandemic inadvertently facilitated their separation process by allowing them to focus on their common priority: ensuring the well-being of their son Azad. In 2021, they mutually decided to end their 15-year-long relationship. Despite this, they remain dedicated to co-parenting Azad and maintaining a professional collaboration. Rao emphasized their smooth transition, attributing it to conscious efforts to redefine their relationship and prioritize Azad's emotional stability. She noted that increased time together during COVID actually aided in maintaining an amicable atmosphere. They cherish their ability to work together professionally.
