RDB' producer claims cuts are unnecessary

Controversy brews over Khesari Lal Yadav's Bhojpuri film 'Rang De Basanti' as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) greenlights the title but demands cuts. Despite a positive response to its trailer, the film's fate hangs in the balance. Set for a nationwide release on March 22, the CBFC's objections cast uncertainty on its theatrical debut. The producers have taken the matter to court, contesting the requested edits they deem unnecessary. According to the film's producer, Roshan Singh, the CBFC demands include reducing the length of action scenes by 50% and removing phrases like 'Jai Sriram', 'Allah Ho Akbar', and 'Pawan Sut Hanuman'. While the CBFC has allowed the title, the battle over content continues. With the release date approaching, the outcome of the court hearing will determine the film's future.
