Sea evacuations begin in Corfu as wildfires chaos hit second Greek island
Sunday, 23 July 2023 Sea evacuations have begun from a beach in Corfu to transport individuals fleeing wildfires on the Greek island - as scores of Britons await repatriation flights out of Rhodes.
Greek wildfires continued burning through the night on Sunday, forcing thousands of tourists and residents to flee the island of Rhodes, taking refuge in schools and shelters as flames threatened resorts and coastal villages. Joel Flynn reports.
