Chancellor holds talks with City chiefs in bid to thrash out UK ISA plan
Tuesday, 9 January 2024 Jeremy Hunt held talks with some of the City's top business leaders on Tuesday in a bid to inject fresh momentum into London’s flagging market for new company listings.
Jeremy Hunt has said it is "encouraging" that ONS figures show the UK economy has grown by 0.6% between January and March. The chancellor argues that Labour is the party "gaslighting" the public by saying everything is "going wrong with the British economy" and that the latest statistics show Britain's longer term prospects are "significant".
