Cooper praises first responders after Liverpool crash

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper praises first responders for their efforts after a car rammed into pedestrians at a Liverpool FC victory parade on Monday. Cooper says, "we need to say huge thanks to all those who responded... who did the most professional job". Merseyside Police: The joy of the day dissipated quickly

Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims says it is believed that the car “was able to follow an ambulance onto Water Street after the road-block was temporarily lifted so that the ambulance crew could attend to a member of the public who was having a suspected heart attack”.
