Yadav said, "It is tit for tat. If you look at Nitish Kumar ji's history, be it George Fernandes, Digvijaya Singh or our party- whom did he not betray?. He came to power through back door, he has thirst for power." "The destruction of Bihar by him is for everyone to see. Nitish Kumar is a bargainer, a blackmailer. He is not a leader. He is not for people, he is for himself," Yadav added.
JDU leader KC Tyagi lashed out at the BJP over the defection of 6 JDU MLAs to the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh. ‘We express anguish over six JD (U) MLAs from Arunachal Pradesh joining BJP. Ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav was airlifted to Delhi from Jharkhand's Ranchi. He was brought in the national capital's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on January 23. Lalu Yadav was referred from Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on the advice of state medical board.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on January 21 informed that Mahagathbandhan will hold 'Kisan Jagruk Saptaah' (Farmers Awareness Week) to "educate" them about Centre's farm laws. The 'Kisan Jagruk Saptah' will be held for a week from 24th January to 30th January. "People, especially farmers of Bihar, will be made aware during the Saptah," he added. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his mother Rabri Devi visited Ranchi's RIMS hospital to check on jailed party chief Lalu Yadav's health. Lalu Prasad Yadav, whose health condition deteriorated, has been diagnosed with lung infection. Prasad's elder daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti reached Ranchi and met her father. Senior party leaders from the state were also seen making a beeline at the hospital. "Our family wants better treatment for him. Doctors to analyse what treatments can be provided here after all test reports come. He has already undergone heart surgery earlier and only 25% of his kidney is functional. He has also been diagnosed with pneumonia and he is facing difficulty in breathing. His situation is serious," Tejashwi said. On Thursday, the jailed RJD chief's developed breathing trouble with congestion in his chest. The former Bihar chief minister has been convicted in the fodder scam cases.
