India’s weekly Covid cases up 31%, first rise since early November

India's Covid-19 caseload crossed 11 million on Sunday, with the last one million cases coming in the second longest period yet of 65 days. However, the pandemic has surged again in the last seven days, with cases in this period registering a rise for the first time in 15 weeks.

India reported 13,742 new COVID-19 cases, 14,037 discharges, and 104 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry. 1,21,65,598 beneficiaries have been vaccinated for COVID-19 across India. With new infections, the COVID tally of the country stood at 1,10,30,176.
