[NFA] The COVID-19 vaccination rollout in Britain should continue to prioritize people by age rather than occupation, the chair of Britain's vaccine advice committee said on Friday. Lauren Anthony reports.
Alex Salmond has said there is a failure of leadership in Scotland as he attacked First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
In his opening statement to a Holyrood inquiry into the Scottish Government's unlawful investigation of sexual harassment claims made against him, Scotland's former first minister accused his successor Ms Sturgeon of using a Covid press conference to "effectively question the result of a jury".
Mr Salmond is testifying on the botched government investigation which was found to be "tainted by apparent bias" by the court.
He was acquitted of 13 charges of sexual assault in a criminal trial, and he successfully challenged the lawfulness of the government investigation.
The current Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has insisted there was no conspiracy against Mr Salmond, and she is due to appear before the committee to give evidence next week. Yoga Guru Ramdev launched Patanjali's ‘Coronil’ to cure Covid-19 on Friday. Patanjali Ayurved said Coronil has got Ayush Ministry’s certification as per WHO scheme. The company claimed that it is the first evidence-based medicine to fight Covid-19. Ramdev also released research paper to back Patanjali's solutions to Covid-19. The ayurvedic medicine against coronavirus was launched at an event in New Delhi. The event was presided by Union Ministers Harsh Vardhan and Nitin Gadkari. Patanjali had earlier introduced Ayurveda-based Coronil on June 23 last year. The Haridwar-based firm, however, had to face criticism as it lacked scientific evidence. The Ayush Ministry, back then, had indicated it as 'Immuno-booster' only. Coronil is developed by Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Research Institute. It had started work for an Ayurvedic remedy for Covid-19 in January, 2020.
