Odisha train accident: Officer dissents, says train crash not due to signal failure
Tuesday, 6 June 2023 In what seems to be an inter-departmental disagreement over the cause of the Odisha train accident, a senior railway engineer who was among the signatories to the ‘joint inspection report’ on the mishap has given a dissent note. While the inspection report blamed signal failure for the crash, the officer referred to a ‘datalogger’ report to claim that the signal was green for Coromandel Express to take the main line and not the loop line.
