Ninth cheetah dies at Kuno; 30% of the big cats flown in now dead
Wednesday, 2 August 2023 Tblisi, a female cheetah translocated from Namibia, has died at Kuno National Park. This is the ninth cheetah to die at Kuno, including three of the four cubs born there.
Thousands of Georgians flooded the streets of Tbilisi in vehement opposition to a proposed bill dubbed "foreign agents," which they perceive as draconian and influenced by Russia. The legislation mandates organizations receiving over 20% of funding from abroad to register as such or face penalties.
