Gyanvapi row: Buddhist body moves SC, says 'mosque stands on remains of stupa'
Friday, 4 August 2023 Lucknow-based Buddhist organization, Shraman Sanskriti Raksha Manch, has also sought a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi complex by experts of Buddhist history, claiming that the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Gyanvapi Mosque stand on the remains of a 2,500-year-old Buddha stupa.
