Norms breached, says Gyanvapi panel, wants survey stalled

Anjuman Intezamia Masajid (AIM) submitted an application to Varanasi district judge Ajay Krishna Vishvesha on Wednesday, urging the court to halt the survey of the Gyanvapi mosque by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). AIM claims the ASI disregarded established norms for conducting such surveys. The court fixed August 17 as the next hearing date and deadline for ASI to file objections.
