Not Just Moon: Isro’s Aditya-L1, India’s first Solar mission, reaches spaceport
Monday, 14 August 2023 India's first solar mission, Aditya-L1, has reached the SDSC-SHAR spaceport in Sriharikota ahead of its anticipated launch in August or September. The spacecraft will study various aspects of the Sun, such as the dynamics and origins of coronal mass ejections, from an almost constant distance at the first Lagrange point of the Earth-Sun system. Aditya-L1 will be able to orbit the Sun without the planet eclipsing its view and carrying seven payloads to observe it. The results are expected to yield crucial information that will lead to greater understanding of space weather.
