G7 & Russia harden stand over Ukraine, but India confident of joint declaration

Even as India remained confident of the G20 summit culminating in a joint declaration, both G7 and Russia appeared to be hardening their positions on the Ukraine war. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau seemed to have taken the lead for G7, the group of economically most advanced nations, as his office said while announcing his visit to India that holding Russia accountable was essential to maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of G20.
