Uttar Pradesh becomes first state to approve Aspirational City Scheme in 100 most backward urban bodies
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the Aspirational City Programme, making it the first state in India to focus on the development of backward urban bodies. The scheme will be implemented in 100 urban bodies with populations ranging from 20,000 to one lakh. The program aims to improve municipal service delivery, economic opportunities, and quality of life through a 3C approach of convergence, collaboration, and competition.
