On Tuesday, the Supreme Court provided protection from arrest to retired Army colonel Vijaykant Chenji in relation to an FIR filed at the Imphal West police station. The FIR alleged that he had incited ethnic violence through his book published the previous year, titled 'Anglo-Kuki War 1917-19,' which the complainant argued contained false information.
