Tamil Nadu: BJP slave to none, says Annamalai as rift in BJP-AIADMK widens

The controversy over Tamil Nadu BJP leader K Annamalai's remarks on C N Annadurai has caused tension within the AIADMK-BJP alliance. Annamalai defended his statements, stating that the BJP would not be subservient to anyone and that political alliances are mutually dependent. He also addressed AIADMK leaders who criticized him, stating that he would not instigate his second rung leaders to speak and warned that he could reveal information about C Ve Shanmugam. Annamalai emphasized that the BJP would not compromise on principles and expressed confidence in winning the 2026 assembly election on their own.
